Pistons reject Boston's offer of Rondo and Ray Allen for Rip, Tay, Stuckey.

Wow....this is pretty interesting....Boston offered Detroit Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo for Tayshaun, Stuckey, and Rip.

Not sure why the Pistons would have said yes to that, lol....the Pistons would have gotten a terrible deal....but I find it interesting that the Celtics are ALREADY looking to rebuild.....

    Thoughts?

does the boston front office really think they can get stuckey, prince and hamilton for rondo and ray? The way i see it: Hamilton >>> Ray, Prince + Stuckey >>> Rondo. Boston must be daydreaming.

Stuckey better than Rondo? Keep dreaming. Rondo AVERAGED a Triple double in the playoffs. He runs the offense with ease and is fast as lightning.

Pistons would never make that deal... im not sure of the salary cap implacations, maybe that would be the only thing that affects the pistons making the trade

Yeah, this deal makes a lot of sense... Sure, we'll trade our whole team nucleus for a old shooting guard that's past his prime and a unproven point guard, why not?

    What was boston thinking? lol

Oh I misunderstood. He was saying Stuckey + Prince > Rondo. My bad.

    Its all good.

But that would be a bad trade. Some might argue that Rip is getting older so that evens out the issue of Ray Allen being past his prime, but Rip still has some left in him, he isn't past his prime yet, Prince is also still in his prime, if you want to call it that, and Stuckey hasn't reached full potential yet I don't think.

Rondo for Stuckey is pretty good, but Ray Ray for Rip AND Tay? Yea bad deal for Detroit. Boston was asking too much. Maybe if it was just Rip, even then IDK. thanx
