yeah, waaaayyy too much for Pronger. A serviceable scorer in Lupul and potentially 3 guys that will be under 21 and in the Ducks system

not at all, i am so lost, orange and black all the way, we just dealt our best dman prospect, a top 5 goal scorer, oh and throw in 2 1's...for a 34 year old dmen who has 1 year left on his contract...

I think we just lost Richards...he was mad at Holmgren last year when we dealt Upshall, Lupul was Richards best friend on the team, this is not gonna go over well...

I'm ok with the deal.
The only player thats' worth anything is Sbisa. Lupol has no work ethic and has such an awful defensive side. The Flyers don't need his 20-30 goal production with Giroux stepping up and making Carter an even betters scorer.
Losing this years draft pick may hurt us, but next years draft is predicted as one of the worst drafts in years. The Flyers now have one of the best, if not the best Defense in the East.
Timmonen, Pronger, Coburn, Carle, Parent, Alberts. That's ridiculous! The only thing the Flyers were missing from their D-men was someone who could hit and could hold off strong forwards like Malkin, Ovechkin or take your pick of any of the big strong forwards in the East.
The Flyers were already in a cap nightmare, but Holmgren will figure it out, or he already has a few deals in place that no one knows about yet.
I only worry about losing Sbisa. He played great while he was in, and he is definitely the Ducks best pick up in this deal. It's too early to say if its a steal for either team or who's lucking out, but the Flyers needed a player like Pronger badly, and maybe the Ducks wanted Lupol's awful work ethic back?
