As Herschel Walker eyes Senate run, a turbulent past emerges
ATLANTA (AP) — At first glance, Herschel Walker has a coveted political profile for a potential Senate candidate in Georgia.
He was a football hero at the University of Georgia before his long NFL career. He’s a business owner whose chicken products are distributed across the U.S. And he’s a Black conservative with backing from former President Donald Trump, a longtime friend.
But an Associated Press review of hundreds of pages of public records tied to Walker’s business ventures and his divorce, including many not previously reported, sheds new light on a turbulent personal history that could dog his Senate bid. The documents detail accusations that Walker repeatedly threatened his ex-wife’s life, exaggerated claims of financial success and alarmed business associates with unpredictable behavior.

Wouldn't Walker be running against Democrat Raphael Warnock? Warnock the guy who was arrested in 2002 for hindering an investigation into child abuse at a church summer camp that he ran with another man? Warnock the guy who also has accusations from his ex wife that he was a domestic abuser? A police body cam was even released involving one of the fights between him and his ex wife last election cycle. Seems like this isn't a game that the AP wants to get involved in if that's the case since his opponent isn't "clean" either.

Walker's one of the biggest sellouts in the U.S. Ever since Trump dumped money in front of him in the USFL, Walker does whatever Trump tells him to do.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Warnock was briefly charged in 2002 with obstructing a police investigation. Charges were later dropped.
In a news report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, it was reported that Grady Hospital first-responders were not able to locate any swelling, redness, or bruising or broken bones. Atlanta Police declined to offer any additional details, stating that the report (from Grady Hospital) will speak for itself.
