Speaking of Starquest Gold. This Yzerman fetched some big dollars.

1998-99 UD Choice StarQuest Gold Steve Yzerman /100 #SQ18 Detroit Red Wings | eBay

The Gretzky prior listed as Buy It Now, looks like the seller listed a little too low. It was snatched up right away.

I certainly don't mind cards selling for high prices, some seem absurd for a piece of cardboard but if someone wants it they'll pay.

At least hockey is showing some promise in value against the other sports. Hockey cards have always been undervalued when compared with Baseball, Football, Basketball. Pricing on certain cards and players in those sports are ridiculous. Kind of hope hockey does not get to those levels, but a part of me hopes that hockey does get to those levels! Cards from 1997-1999 are really pushing up in value.

    lets start with this beauty...

When you take shipping and taxes into account you're looking at about 27 bucks for 6 base cards

Stuff like this reminds me of 2000-01 Upper Deck. Ilya Kovalchuk's Youn Guns card #211 was in Series 1. Kovy also had a base card #242 in Series 2. I'm amazed when people try to sell card #242 as a Kovalchuk RC and even more amazed at how many people will buy it as RC prices.

I've never understood the prices of the StarQuest Gold cards. They're /100, not 1 of 1's... If someone could explain this to me... I've got scarcer cards that aren't worth 10% of their values. Aren't the buyers losing their minds on these?! Come on!

There is a rumour that a part of the wax from that product was burned in a a warehouse fire. Also, I have opened quite a bit of the product with a friend, he pulled a Lecavalier Prime Choice Reserve /100 and that's it. We never saw a Starquest Gold. I still have a binder with a base set, Choice Reserve parallel set, the Mini-BobbingHeads and the 3 common colors of Starquest, it was a fun product. Some out of the ordinary photography in the base set too.

That is unreal, maybe an SSSSP. Leads to another question, I check BIN or Best Offers on 130point.com. Shows the final sale price, usually. Below is the final price on this Scott Stevens auto. Selling price shows higher than BIN price?? I have seen this a few times, not sure what it means. Is it a system glitch, is a typo and should read CAD$

The copy/paste did not work, trying again. If the paste does not work again, the 130point.com site shows the final selling price at $330 USD!
