Is there anyway to get a signature certified after the fact? What about before/or during the act of signing the card, are there companies out there that certify?

So getting a player to personally sign a card/jersey/anything for you is totally worthless now? What happens if you get that player to also sign a COA?

oh i may have misunderstood you, but from what i know, the auto must be obtained and then a company can verify it for you. they are usually at card shows, they are different then beckett but specialize in COA's for autos.
i may not be a 100% correct on this though.

i see what you mean about liking the thrill of opening, but to be honest it seems you will almost always get more value out of buying singles than a box, for example, you could spend 100 on a box of SPx and get a couple hits, usually okay stuff, sometimes bad, and once in a while very good, but then you can look at some of the singles 100 could buy you, or card lots, here is a link to something i'm looking at right now

not even close to price of SPx box, but you get more than you would in an SPx box! Everybody loves opening boxes, same with me, but if your just getting into collecting and trying to get more "traders" then lots like the one in the link will hold a lot more value then what you would get most of the time in a box.
