Guys/girls your cards will still have sub grades AS LONG as it grades 8.5 or higher. Any card grading an 8 or lower will just have an overall grade and no sub grades. You have nothing to worry about unless you believe you've submitted something below an 8

I am fine with the service level we are on. I do not wish to pay more to guarantee sub grades. If it takes a little longer to get back no biggie.

just need a breakdown of what the changes entail. is it bgs 8 and lower and bgs 8.5 higher with subgrades. i assume additional cost will be determined once final grades are in.

From what i see on changes, 20 day turnaround is not a guarantee and you get no sub grades on a card graded 8 or lower for the price point we are in. Cards graded 8.5 or higher there is no change.

In your case subs are a big deal on a card graded 8 or lower because you can have an 8 jordan with a 7.5 sub and a 9.5/10 sub and it would greatly increase the price over another 8 with lower subs.

That being said i dont think you can pay at the end to have the subs added

I completely skimmed over that. I'd be fine leaving it as is then and hope they bump us to 20 days.

I was under the assumption that subgrades are not included on cards 1981 and newer unless you do the 10 day service or higher.

I did forget one thing, they want any card with a value of $500+ to go through the premium service of 10 days or less...My rep stated to send them along with this order if there are any and He will do his best to push them through with no additional cost...

In the link you posted, under sub grades

"To increase the importance of higher graded cards and to speed the turnaround times up, we have decided that on the new, non-guaranteed service, we will no longer be offering sub grades on modern (1981 to the Present) cards that grade 8 or lower. Cards grading higher than an 8.5 still have sub grades with our regular service. Sub grades are still going to be available at our premium levels, no matter what grade the card is."

I am assuming we are regular service?

Yes since we get special discounted pricing we would always be a non guarantee time frame...

i'd pay the extra for my cards that don't grade 8.5 or above so i can get subgrades at the gauranteed service level.
EDIT: not all my cards, but just a handful. is that possible?

That would have to be a separate submission at the 10-day level or less as far as I know.
