Ohhh the joys of living in the Lower Mainland.

I got lucky and purchased my condo in Steveston about 18 months ago, since then the increase in value has gone up over 25% .... living in Richmond, we are the land of million dollar 800 square foot apartments. Surprise $20K balcony levy that our realtor thought would be around $8K came though a month or so ago ..... 1 lump sum, or 4 equal payments of $4800 something ... starting Jan 1st and continuing monthly .... pick your poison =S

Good luck with the move, my wife and I seriously considered Langley and Tsawwassen .... but both working in "downtown" Richmond we opted slightly less space, slightly more money .... but only a 10 - 15 min commute.

@Goose97, yeah brutha, I'm hoping to be back with a vengeance ( Screaming maybe?) in February! Until then, I'll be doing most of my PC building through Epack! @Canucks007, yeah bud, the housing market has been stunning to say the least! My brother bought his house 9 years ago for $375,000, and sold last Summer for just under $500k, and that was about $35k over asking! Rentals are stupid as well! A basement suite in Abbotsford, the homeowner does a mass showing at 2pm on a Saturday, and at 2:15, holds an " Auction" on the lawn! The renter with the deepest pockets wins!
