Anyone have this scanner?

I finally realized that my printer could also be a scanner! It is a c3150 All-in-One. Does anyone have this same printer or know how to solve this problem?:

I start up HP Device Manager and click scan picture. It brings me to HP Scan Pro. From there, I click where I want it to scan the picture to. I click accept and start the scan. However, all the light does on the printer is blink, and Scan Pro gives me a popup that says "Sorry, scanner could not be initialized. (Scanner not found.) I know it is plugged in, and I have tried scanning the picture to different programs, but nothing works. Is there a download that can fix this? Or am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated, I will give you a nice reward. :)

hit scan on the printer and it will popup and say something like start scan

if it keeps blinking unplug the power and plug it in after 30 seconds then turn it on and wait till the light is steady and start over
