Took a couple of attempts due to a bad address, but finally was able to add another XFL alum... Mike Cawley returned 3/4 custom (K1AO) in 11 days with the correct address.

I'm in love with the XFL set; I have some of the old 2001 cards, might have to see if I can find them to send off!

I made and sent 16 cards out, have received 8 back. There were a couple long shots in my list, but I've been a little disappointed on my return rate. I have one out that I even emailed ahead of time to ask if he'd be willing to sign and he responded enthusiastically. So, we'll see what keeps trickling home. There were at least 3 more that had a good history of returns... so I'm not giving up hope, but I'm frustrated, too.

Some truly cool customs, thanks for sharing your great work, and love to see the vintage returns too, old time players are the greatest!

Thanks for the kind words!
The older players are an interesting group... some are more than generous. Some don't want to be bothered. When I started my old school Cubs returns, I went back to the 1940's and started trying to get all the living alumni and moving forward. I am missing 6 players from the 1950's who don't sign, and 13 from the 1960's who choose not to sign. I've found the alums from the 1970's to be more difficult. I'm missing 64 from that decade... Don't really know why. I have a few more to send out, but it's been much tougher sledding.
I'm interested to see how the 1980's alums are in their habits. That's my generation of Cubs.

Took awhile (113 days) but Jim Druckenmiller returned 3/4 of my XFL customs (K1AO). Love the way this one looks...

More RTS returns in the past few days than successes, but a couple of them were longshots. I was RTS'd from Tom Dettore & Wayne Tyrone, who were the longshots, but was also RTS'd by Steve Renko who has been very reliable.
One success, Gene Clines returned 4/4 customs in 12 days. He's a great signer.
