Did you hear that flushing sound? UD is circling the drain......
And the beat goes on............

We already knew they didn't pay tons of NHL and NFL players, just nice to see that Dick McClown doesn't discriminate.
Clean out your queues and get while the gettings good! (or they have cards left!)

Are you happy about this?

Actually no, since myself and so many others have outstanding cards in our redemption queues that will likely never get made.
As far as UD going under, I would be sad to see many good people lose jobs, but I would not be sad to see them survive with a new owner, better ethics and honest people across the board.
If that can happen long live UD. If not, good riddance to McWilliams and his scandalous ways.Last edited by Prime B; 04-17-2010 at 07:05 PM.

Alright I got ya. I personally would hate to see UD go under for a plethora of reasons. If McWilliam was gone that would not be a bad thing at all, but losing UD would be absolutely terrible to this hobby.

I'm wondering if UD goes under does that mean that Panini have exclusive rights or will someone else be able to get in there (ITG)?

Hope that never happens. I don't at all want UD to look like ITG. UD's designs are far nicer.

this!
Unfortunately it would never happen though because then he would have to inherit all the debt and financial issues associated with the company.
After all the bad dealings UD has done, that's a pretty hefty check I imagine!

The UD name is toast. The UD brand value is in the toilet. If that company doesn't go down the first time, they should make sure they flush again.
If there are any decent people left at UD, they should firstly get rid of all the bad apples then regroup and start a new company with a brand new name. They have great concepts, excellent designers, and created superb brand value which they destroyed with bad customer service and unethical practices. They already climbed to the top of the mountain once, no reason they can't do it again.

UD collapses or gets sold by the end of 2011. Maybe even this year.
