I am a UCLA alumnus. I totally agree with the firing.
Under his tenure, we've suffered horrific blow-outs that never occurred in 50+ years.
But, as long as we kept doing well in NCAA, we put up with 40 point blow-outs to Div II schools.
This year, things just collapsed; players stop playing. Total lack of fundamentals -- blocking out, rebounding, passing, etc.
It's time for him to go.
He did a great job, was paid well.

He did WAY better in his 6 years than John Wooden did... and when will you UCLA people learn... YOU WON'T EVER HAVE ANOTHER JOHN WOODEN, so quit comparing every coach there to Wooden. I sure hope Bennie isn't dumb enough to go there... he'll just be like every other coach there, coach 5 or 6 years and get kicked out because UCLA didn't win a championship every year.
