I just did a new Hawks roster on Cap Geek. My roster had all the guys on the roster plus Beach (1.1 mil), Skille (1 mil), Dowell (800k), Bickell (900k), Vishnevskiy (800k), Lalonde (700k), Crawford (800k), and Niemi making 4 mil. If they get rid of Campbell it will leave them 6 mil.

But who is going to want Campbell and his outragous 7 million dollar contract? Just theink if the Hawks didnt have that, maybe they keep Ladd and Versteeg. Another reason Tallon was axed

Bottom line is defense wins games. With the right set of D-men and goalies your team wins games and makes the playoffs. Anybody that paid attention to the SCF saw that both Philly and Chicago's top 4 d-men all played more then 15 minutes per game.

No way Skille resigns at $1 mil per year, he's not worth it to play on the 4th line. Bickell probably gets about $750, Dowell makes $525, Vish $821, Lalonde $773. If the Hawks are still up against the cap at season start you won't see Beach until 11/12.
