How many cuts in a Game Used Jersey ?

I won this game used two weeks ago.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Its numbered to 599 and on the back of the card, its said its a piece of Jersey worn by Patrick Roy in the 1994 A-S Game. Do you think all 599 cards were cut from this A.S. game ? If I remember, I've seen some Jersey inserts over years featuring a piece a Roy jersey from this game. Its not a ''huge'' frame for a A-S card. Usually, cards cutted from A-S jersey are ''better'' looking than that and more short printed...

I heard a game used jersey can be cutted in 2500 pieces for cards ... is it true ?

a other problem for the Roy 1994 A-S jersey ... this card is made by Upper Deck, ok right. But I have a others GUs card from this game made by ITG (2002-03 BAP A-S Edition & 2001-02 BAP Memorabilia series).

Its impossible than NHL sold this jersey to 2 differents companies !

    Whats your 2 cents ?

For special events like the ASG, the players can go through a handful of jerseys. One for auction, one for a keepsake, one for the card companies, etc. so it's possible that each company got one for GU memorabilia cards. Didn't Gretzky go through a bunch in his last NHL game? As I recall he wore one for each period, so that one could go to the Hall of Fame, don't remember the other two.

It does seem odd that both companies would get one, but not inconceivable.

in 1994, keeping A-S game jersey for cards companies make no sense for me. First GU cards appear only in 1996.

I think I will email both companies...

years ago someone came up with 1500 but I don't know how accurate it was. I have a couple gamers at home I'll measure sometime. There was also some one who was going to re-assemble a jersey from low end players swatches, dunno what happened there.
