Best way to sell a collection ?

Hey guys , just want to have some input or advices on how i should sell my Brodeur Collection. I don't really know how many different cards i have from him , just know it's around 850.

Now , what would be the best way to sell it ? I don't know what's the BV for the entire lot and calculating each card would take time but there's no doubt i will have to.

I thought about selling the high-end cards individually but then again , that would leave a bunch of base/low-end inserts that most Brodeur collectors already have or don't care about.

I would also appreciate to have advices on how i should ship the entire lot if somehow it ends up that way.

    Thanks , Karl

Sell all the highend stuff for sure singly. Than put a nice lot of Brodeur's on eBay, may get you a nice return.

I would try them as a lot first and see what interest you get. If you don't see an offer you like, try the lower-end stuff as a lot. If you sell the lower end stuff first, it will be MUCH easier to get top dollar for the rest.

As for shipping, put the ones in toploaders in those boxes the toploaders come in. Put another of the boxes on top to make them enclosed. Tape them shut tightly.

Put them in some kind of platic protection and then put them in a big box filled with the packing peanuts.

Speak with Pheebs888 first. You might be able to move a lot of them to just one single person.

I wasn't sure if you knew that she's the resident Brodie collector, so I had to say it. I hear she's moving back to Canada. So shipping shouldn't be a problem. Good luck.

Shoot me a PM and let me know what you've got and a ball park figure for the lot.

    Hey Karl,

I am indeed moving back to Québec but as a result I need to sell all of my tradebait right now to have the funds to ship back both my Roy and Brodie collections as well as some other belongings. So long story short, I am in selling mode right now not buying...It's a real shame though :(

Good luck selling and I hope you find yourself another hobby to keep you busy ;)

    Thanks
    Karine
