Multiples of the same card in player PCs
For those of you who collect specific players, I'm just wondering about your approach in this area.
Do you actively try to get multiples of the same card for your player PC? Does that apply to any card, or are there particular brands, years, etc. for which to try to chase multiples?

I personnaly don't keep multiples in my collection. With a somewhat limited budget, I don,t see the point of spending money on two identical cards, it prevents me to purchase another card.
But I've got to admit that if I had more money to spend, I would definitively buy multiples of the most important cards, such as Cup Rookies, Young Guns HG, Ice Auto patch...

If they are low numbered and they are at the right price then i would pick it up. Might come in handy later on if i try to chace the others of the same parrallel (if they were numberd 10 or less) or to later use for trade bait to pick up others that i would need for my PC. Sometimes ill pick up a second one if there are nicer patch pieces for an upgrade.

For lower end I have many multiples and lower numbered stuff I can get at a decent price I will get multiples of. Of course my PC guy is not highly collected so I don't spend a lot of $ collecting him so multiples actually works well haha.

For some Price jersey sets where possible I'll try to get red, white, and blue swatches. Other than that, not usually.
With the Gorges PC I will go after as many low #'d copies of a card as I can find. They're usually pretty cheap and with so few cards to chase each year it helps keep the collection active.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

If it's numbered to 25 or less I'll pick it up as many times as I can. I'm not going to spend more than I spent the first time getting the card though.

I'll try to upgrade swatches or autos (particularly bad sticker autos) but even then I'll sell off the less desirable copy. So no...I don't do multiples.

If its a nicer swatch or auto, I'll upgrade and sell or trade my other one

also don't try to get multiples, have a few around but not on purpose, as others have said why spend my money on the same card twice, when I could get another card I need
