    Team USA Hockey Falls to RPI

    Team USA lost in a shootout to Rensselaer 4-3 Sunday afternoon in Troy, NY. This was the first exhibition game for the U.S. World Junior Championship team as they prepare for the tournament in Buffalo.

    Team USA led after the first period on a goal by Chris Brown (Flower Mound, TX). Team USA outshot RPI 18-7 in the first period.

    Less than 2 minutes into the second period RPI ties it on a goal by C.J. Lee. RPI would take its first lead of the night when Chase Polacek scores to make it 2-1.

    about time to see the engineers playing solid hockey. been waiting a long time to see them in the ecac final four in albany...maybe this year???

    You're putting up hockey articles with all kinds of my buddies involved Don. The head coach of RPI and his wife are friends of my wife and I. Seth used to be an assistant coach for DU.
