Habs Fall to 0-1 in 2011 When Karine Attends
Tough 4-3 OT loss today. A win would have been nice since our very own Karine was in attendance. Now she's going to develop a complex and fear that her presence there will make the team lose. I know the feeling, Habs went 0-2 with me around until they whooped Toronto in April 2008.
Some really sobering stats:
- Cammalleri hasn't scored since December 19
- Gionta had gone 4 games without a goal before scoring in two straight
- Gomez has 1 goal in his last 12
- Pouliot has not scored since December 10th
- AK46 has 1G and 4A since December 1.
- The only member of our Top 6 who is producing anywhere near what he should be is the seemingly indefatigable Tomas Plekanec, who has had to spend far too much time in recent games killing penalties.
Hopefully there will be a better result on the 22nd! If not, K, I'm revoking all your ticket priveliges!
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Cammy, Gomez and Gionta, those are three contracts that are going to look real bad in a year or two.

The Gomez contract looked awful as a Habs fan as soon as it became a Habs contract. Gomez is a good $4M-$5M player - when you look at other guys making $7.37M and up you get into certain expectations as far as the numbers go. He does a lot of other good things, but sometimes it does come down to stats and he simply isn't producing.
The other two I do still have some hope for.

The Edmonton Oilers were 0-7 with me in attendance.... a streak that started in 1995 (maybe it was 1996?), and didn't end until 2010. FINALLY saw a win earlier this year in Toronto. I feel your pain :)

Now now Richard, don't be unfair the Habs played very well yesterday! As for Gomez, he got the most points out of everyone on that awful roadtrip so props to him!
As for their record in my attendance, well this year it's not good but overall, in 6 games, they are still 4-2 which is much better than your record LMAO. Even though they lost yesterday it didn't really feel like a loss, we came out of there feeling very good about our team and we had an absolute blast at the game (even though I nearly broke my left hand...something about over enthusiastic cheering for the first goal lol). Overall, it felt awesome to be home and I waited sooooo long to see this live:

don't forget also Carey Price has given up 35 goals in his last 10 starts, only 1 game where he allowed less than 3

The Habs have had problems against the Thrashers for the last few years (not to mention the other teams in the SE division). Most of the games were one-goal games that had a reasonable chance of going to OT or shootout.
The worst horror I recall vs the Thrashers was the game on Dec. 2, 2008 where the Habs blew a three-goal lead within 59 seconds in the third period. Fortunately, they managed to outscore them barely 5-4 in regulation...
The other horror was on Dec. 12, 2009 where the Thrashers scored three goals in a little more than six minutes in the second period. Habs lost in OT on Kovalchuk PPG.
The Florida Panthers were known to be the Habs greatest nemesis team (not rival). The Thrashers might be making a run for that infamous position...
