upperdeck "test cards"?

Hey, I guy locally is sell some hockey cards on craigslist....he has what he claims to be "test cards" from the upperdeck factory....he said he lived in cali for a while and when he went to go to the upperdeck factory to take a tour they would hand out "test cards", these "test cards" were one of the 1st cards off the line to test out the printing process and they have "test" writing on the back.

are these worth anything? do you guys know what he is talking about or is he just full of it?

Sounds kind of iffy to me but he could be right. You could always call the Upper Deck 1 800 number and ask them if they actually do give them out that way. Who knows.

I have a nice Myers from OPC PREMIER REMNANTS . Card has 3 game used piece on it and is also #d out of 35. If you have any game used for trade, even retired guys, and are interested in it LMK. Only interested in game used.

If they are legit, the only thing I can think of is that they were maybe distributed to Upper Deck Diamond Club members but I am not very familiar with the program. However, I think I have heard that they give away promo cards and then other exclusive cards to members.

Does the seller have photos in hios ad and can you post them here to show us?

I have seen UD test cards of Lupul, they came directly from an employee that worked at UD. Out the back door kind of deal.
