Pretty good, and bold idea as a seller to put shipping as $80!!
Though that is insane!

I like how he sluffs it off with this disclaimer:
I am charging the $80 for shipping b/c the fees are kinda crazy!!!
He didn't specify which fees, but one would assume "ebay" fees are his target!
Searching for: Jagr, Palffy, Stumpel, and Boyd

If you bought anything else on ebay then hockey cards you would notice its a widespread way of dodging ebay final value fee`s.
Wether its an electronic part from Japan at 1$ + 10 shipping or a powertool from the states at 100$ + 200$ for shipping.
Im actually suprise nobody got exited about the BIN price and didnt hit the BIN without reading the description.
Just consider the shipping price into the item cost, if you aint confortable with it dont buy it.

I will agree that eBay fees can be pretty bad and if this seller has found a loop hole in the system then good fr him. He will get a very bad star rating when it comes to shipping but I would rather have a bad star rating and more money in my pocket.

Good for him, feeBay kills your profits and he is trying to find a way around it. It's not like he is trying to hide it he clearly states and explains the final cost.

Last time I sold there, Ebay took a nice fat 9% cut for doing just about nothing and Paypal took another 3% cut for doing just as much.
I will often list items there, but as much as possible I try to contact the interested party directly and offer them a better price and/or free shipping if they accept to buy outside of Ebay.

I don't like paying Ebay fees, but we all make the decision to accept their rules when we list our items on their site. This guy is violating the rules, and he should be given the boot. We can argue all day about the "fairness" of Ebay fees, but like any other company they're just trying to maximize their economic profit. If someone doesn't like the rules, then I think they should just not use the site - I prefer that approach over simply cheating them out of the fees to which they agreed.
Anyway, I guess I just have no sympathy for Ebay seller fees. Those are the rules....if you don't like them, then use another site.
