Lest anyone need any more proof that this administration is backwards....
How can a guy who's outsourced a large portion of his company and most of his crap is made in china be the head of a Job's board?? I'm sure it's just some payback for getting him in office. Lib's better never complain about cronyism on the right lol...Amazing.

Guess you didn't read the whole article.
Immelt, a Republican, donated to both Hillary Rodham Clinton and John McCain during the last presidential cycle, but not President Obama.
Oh well!!

He's one of the farthest things from a republican you'll ever meet..... So a guy who's names one of the 5 worst ceo's and has his companies stock drop through the floor should get this job? Do a little searching into GE and the gov't and GE finance, Green jobs and lmk what you find out about their ties.

I don't need to search through a bunch of conspiracy theories to come up with a reason for him being picked. It may have something to do with this:
The creation of the new entity coincides with the early February dissolution of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board (PERAB), which was tasked principally with fixing the financial markets and restoring the American economy to equilibrium. Tonight, the administration formally announced the resignation of PERAB Chairman Paul Volcker. Immelt was one of 17 members of the board.
It seems perfectly reasonable to pick someone you know. Doesn't necessarily make it "cronyism"

You know, we should really just change the name of the "Politics and Religion" forum to "Poopflingers". That's really all we do.

Don't forget "poopcatchers". Maybe if we stop catching it, they will stop flinging it. Nah ... that won't work. They will just fling it back and forth between them. lol

First, they are not conspiracy theories, there are some pretty bad issues (bailouts and possible no bid contracts?) Also, who owns NBC? Who was going to handle the medical records for the socialized medical program?Secondly ,He is the choice for a JOBS and ECONOMIC position? Really? A guy that ruins a company and ships off the jobs....Makes sense to the left I guess. The ties between Obama and GE are crazy. I never want to hear about Halliburton again.Last edited by sanfran22; 01-21-2011 at 07:09 PM.

Jeffery Immelt is a bone -a -fide CROOK ...He fits in with this administration just like the rest of em' ...He definatley dose'nt belong anywhere around the whitehouse ..
Whether it is pushing the president’s plan for global warming fees in order to create demand for his “Ecomagination” line of windmills, solar panels, etc., boosting the president’s national health-care law as part of an effort to sell more medical equipment, or enthusing over the Obama strategy of making loans available for industrial exporters, Immelt has been an Obama stalwart all along. Immelt has also consistently argued to shareholders that there is big money to be made in advancing the Democratic agenda.Last edited by INTIMADATOR2007; 01-21-2011 at 10:39 PM.
