He's a great, young goalie. Add in the fact that the patch almost litterally spells out "Wow, what a patch" and a clean, on-card autograph and you get that price. I know someone who collects Enroth, and there are probably also a lot of goalie collectors chasing his cards, so that should be your explanation.

I agree with your analysis of him, but I'm still flabbergasted at the price.

I have three patches with those same colours and I didn't pay more than $50 for any of them. But I hope you're right, that this reflects a trend.......maybe I should sell my Enroth PC while he's hot!

I have seen this happen before when I go for something too early. Looks like a three horse race, maybe a little "spite" bidding from the losers, but whoever the winner is probably has the deep pockets to not worry too much about it.
