Pretty Pumped!! My Son Is On Pace For A State Championship In Wrestling

This is my 18 year old's senior season. We are currently at the state tournament. He won his first match last night by pin in the 2nd round. In his second match today he defeated the guy who was #2 in the state last year by pinning him in 30 seconds (video coming later).

In about an hour he wrestles again. If he wins tonite then he will have one more match tomorrow for the state championship. By winning his match today he is already guaranteed to place no lower than 6th in the state.

On a side note, his win last night was his 100th career win. He didn't even start wrestling until the 9th grade and was JV until the 10th grade so 100 career wins is quite an achievement. His win today gave him 40 wins in a season making him the only wrestler in school history to reach 40 wins. The pin today was his 33rd of the season setting a new school record (he already held the old record at 27 pins).

Needless to say, he is ending his high school career on a very high note.
