1987 Topps Baseball Autographs?
Does anyone have any 1987 Topps autographed baseball cards (the ones with the wood-grain background), that they would like to sell or trade? I am only interested in 1987 Topps base, not the Topps Traded set, and I am only interested in raw cards, not slabbed and/or graded.
I am working on the full set. The set is 792 cards long, and there are 6 checklists and 26 team leader cards that I am not counting. So, that leaves 760 total. I have 358 already signed (47.1%), and 143 currently outstanding requests. This leaves me with 259 holes still to fill.
Please advise if you have any, many of these ex-players will sign for nothing more than the price of two stamps, so I am not looking to spend large sums on many of the players.
In terms of trade, I do a lot of signings in the Chicago-area, so I have a lot of current and former players, and I have a thread that I update in the In-Person Signings section.
Thanks

I just got in from a trade both of the 87 Pete Rose cards (200, 393). It's really gonna take something for me to move them though, as I'm sticking them in my own collection.

I also have some 1987 Topps auto doubles available for trade:
#24: Tony Walker
#143: Steve Boros
#270: Jody Davis
#289: Bob Kipper
#318: Jim Fregosi
#387: TR Bryden
#487: Dave Gumpert
#671: Ray Soff
tigsfan-Thanks, but I will pass, I don't want to try to trade for something in your personal collection that you want. Pete Rose is easy to get in Vegas, and I have him on 2 8x10's, paid for, of course.Last edited by arfmax; 03-14-2011 at 10:23 AM. Reason: added #387

You may want to doublecheck your list to see who is deceased. I know when I was looking for you the other day. I have a Bamberger card(Manager) forgot first name off hand, but looked and he is deceased. Unless you can find it in someones collection.

There are a few who are deceased, Kirby Puckett, Eric Show, George Bamberger, Sparky Anderson, etc. I still want their autographed 1987 Topps, however.
Thanks

Bump, I have updated the numbers again.
Some of the players are coaches for MLB teams, so a 50/50 would be great, or I can purchase an extra:
Alan Trammell-ARI Diamondbacks
Devon White-WASH Nats
Dwayne Murphy-TOR Blue Jays
George Hendrick-TB Rays
Mariano Duncan-LA Dodgers
Rafael Belliard-DET Tigers
Orlando Mercado-LA Angels
Thanks!

I got a few copies of the 87 for Belliard to sign the next time I get him. I'll keep you in mind if I get one signed.;)
