Mortal Kombat 9!!!! M Rating on this thread! lol

Are there any other hardcore Mortal Kombat players out there as excited as I am about the new one coming out?! My girlfriend and I literally get so competitive when we play each other and honestly I just think it's a hilarious video game. I've been a fan since the first one came out when I was really little, and I am SO glad they went back to the 2D fighting style with this one! The last few MK's have been busts IMO because it was 3D and they added a bunch of bogus characters, not to mention had them fighting DC Universe characters BLEH!

The coolest new concept I thought they added was the test your luck game... You will see it if you watch this video

The characters they put in this game are literally ALL of my old favorites, and hardly any (if any at all) "newer" characters like Bo Rai Cho and characters like that.

Here's the unofficial character list

-Baraka (awesome!)
-Cyrax (probably my childhood favorite!)
-Ermac (sweet!)
-Goro (old boss!)
-Jade (eh, I'm sure my gf will play as her a few times lol)
-Jax (old school!)
-Johnny Cage (also old school!)
-Kabal (one of my old favorites)
-Kano (also also old school!)
-Kitana (my girlfriends favorite!)
-Kratos PS3 only (haha PS3 gets an annoying newer character! Love the Box)
-Kung Lao (the hat guy!)
-Liu Kang (wouldn't be MK w/o him!)
-Mileena (of course my gf will play as her too)
-Nightwolf (was never a fan, but at least he's not a stupid new guy)
-Noob Saibot (couldn't believe they added him!!!)
-Raiden - (can't have MK w/o him either)
-Reptile (one of my favs!)
-Scorpion (another character that MK couldn't go without)
-Sektor (my absolute favorite character!)
-Shang Tsung (the original villain)
-Shao Kahn (another old boss!)
-Sindel (more ammo for my gf lol)
-Sonya Blade (classic MK character)
-Stryker (kind of a lame character, I mean he's a cop with no powers lol, but older none the less)
-Sub Zero (yet another character MK couldn't leave out!)

One other character that might be included, but is not confirmed is Smoke, I hope they put him in it!

I also love the old school levels they are including such as The Pit and The Subway! Some of my favorites!

All in all I think this game is going to bring me way back, and I will probably lose a lot of sleep playing it... It's going to be like playing the old games with new graphics and better game play! I am going to pre-order it this week and it comes out April 19th!

Oooh, I remember the first two MKs well. Fun times. That was the video game that was supposed to corrupt us all years before the Grand Theft Auto series became popular, lol.

Nice, I wasn't a fan of Deception all that much, but 15,000, talk about logging in some hours lol... I'm going to have to watch out for you online lol

Dunkindurant, totally haha. I would play it when I was probably about 7 years old and my mother would say I can play it as long as I'm not violent when I grow up.

Decpetion was my favorite, I actually liked the 3d action, but to each his own!
