    Best Car Stereo?

So I just bought a car. New to me but not new LOL. It needs a stereo upgrade but I am torn on what to get. I have had a Pioneer 4x45w CD player that has lasted me for about 15 years but I think it is time for an upgrade. I bought a Blaupunkt system about 7 years ago and had nothing but problems with it and ended up yanking it out and putting my old Pioneer back in, so I am a bit reluctant to go away from Pioneer.

Any suggestions on a good brand and model? I have been thinking of maybe going Kenwood or something else but I don't know anyone that owns either so I have no reference point.

EDIT: I should probably mention the full scope of what I currently have in my SUV to give everyone an idea of what level of performance I am looking for.

Pioneer Super Tuner III 4x45w CD head unit
    Bose 4x6 front door speakers
    Pioneer 6x9 rear door speakers
MTX sealed box with 2 10" MTX subs powered by a Pioneer 250w amp
