Why are some draft boards thicker than others?

I have a Tavares and chris Stewart draft board and they are different thicknesses. Why?

    Thanks.

I don't recall, were they drafted the same year? The draft boards are typically ordered by the people setting up the draft, which could be different in each town used. They also have a few dozen blanks for those unknown guys who get drafted outta nowhere. I saw one upclose in '06 draft and it wasn't quite the same as a friend got a few years prior.

Good call. The chris Stewart is from the 06 draft board and the Tavares is from the 09 draft board. Thanks!

I think the correct answer is that the initial set of 08/09 Cup Draft Boards was a thicker card stock...all of them and regardless of which year the draft occurred. Then the 09/10 Cup Draft Boards were all thinner and again, the same thickness regardless of which draft year was involved. So your Tavares is thinner since it's from 09/10 and the Stewart is thicker because it's from the 08/09 set.

I'm still working on the sets from both years and have most of them. My preference would have been that all of them had a uniform thickness but at least the 09/10 Cup Draft Boards are now easier to fit into plastic holders and hopefully the 10/11 Cup Draft Boards will be that same thickness.
