I think it's a good signing. I know they're grooming Lehner for the future, but from what I've read they didn't want him up there playing much until at least 2012.
Anderson has been impressive since the trade.

great move, I liked Craig Anderson a lot as a capable goalie. Always tried to get him late in my fantasy hockey teams. Ottawa did a great job of picking him up just for Elliot

Good move. I just hope he continues to preform after the contract has been signed. As a Leafs fan I cringe at 4 year deals, or contracts rewarded after a hot streak. I wish him all the best, he has done very well in a tough situation.

It's a very decent deal for Ottawa. They're paying a guy to hold down the fort until "the future" is ready, on a bad team, and who will likely be seeing a lot of pucks, for a considerably mild cap hit.

I think they got a pretty good goalie for a decent price and locked him in for 4 years. It's what they need for a rebuild.
