Patrick Kane Taking Over as American Hockey's Next Mike Modano

There's a lot to like about Chicago's Patrick Kane. But, like any professional athlete these days, there's also a lot to dislike about the 22-year-old.

The American forward has made a name for himself on and off the ice through goals, assists, mischief and partying -- four reasons why the hardcore American hockey fan should embrace this Buffalo, N.Y., native and budding Blackhawks star.

Not a chance unless he improves his behaviour on and off the ice.

Modano is all class. Kane is a punk.

Yeah Kane seems to resemble a good player on the ice, and very elusive

He is probably the most elusive and slippery player out there... but during interviews he comes off like he doesn't care and he's a jerk.

Plus he was drunk and beat up a cab driver.

I don't know... maybe he's a good person now? Hard to say, but Modano? Scoring wise maybe, but not overall

I truly don't think Modano is all class but to each their own. I seen him in person on the street and he blown off so many fans seeking autographs. I am talking Nashville for a dozen or so not hundreds like in some hockey mad metropolitians. So he not all class in my book as the rest of his team walked to the hotel and he took the car to avoid the fans. Kept hotel security in between him and the fans. Everyone else walked by us talked signed or said no can't sign today. Mike, did not even have the class to do that.

Everyone makes mistakes and I can look over one incident if he truly sorry. only time will tell that. I met him at the day of the Draft and he was aloof then and to some rude. He signed autographs for many but did it while on the phone. I mean he had so many phone calls coming in it hard not to brush people off. So he multitasked and did both talking on the phone while signing auto's. So my book in that instance he did more than what Modano would do from what I seen of him signing auto's. He had hundreds hounding him not the dozen or so like I mentioned above. So who is class in that scenario. We don't get to see all the scernarios so it hard to judge on just one example. I only seen Kane in one but Mike in 3 or more.

    DOn
