MONTREAL - After being made in Quebec for more than 60 years, Sherbrooke-based Sher-Wood Hockey Inc. is transferring the bulk of its hockey-stick production to Asia.

The company announced Tuesday all its composite sticks (made of foam and carbon fibre) and foam goalie sticks will be manufactured in Asia, which will mean 40 workers here will be laid off.
