I took a shot on this one and it paid off. I saw an article about Mr. Langhorne getting hit by a car in Westlake OH. I did a tax record search and got an address and it came back today signed.

Lars really does have a horrible auto, I got 2 cards back from him a couple weeks ago, better than nothing though.

Thanks guys. I'm always appreciative when a person signs but I wish some guys would be a little better with their signature. The biggest problem with a person with a chicken scratch signature is it would be easily reproducible and could cause some problems with people faking them. The more distinct and unique the signature the harder it is to fake. Just my 2 cents.

It seems ghost signed to me. I've heard stories of him being downright mean IP and rarely signing.. So it makes you wonder why he'd answer mail then..

Good point, another reason for a person to give an illegible signature. Easy to get away with a ghost signature if you can't read it.

I don't think it's ghost signed, I got lars in spring training this year and he seemed to be pretty nice actually. The autograph looks almost identical, horrible lol. Maybe he's changed and just has a bad autograph

I had the chance to talk with a gentleman who played college baseball for Erskine. He is the grandfather of a girl on my daughters basketball team. It was cool to listen to the stories he had shared and the respect he has for Mr. Erskine even after all of these years. I personally have met him a few times at games in Indianapolis and he is a very pleasant man. I was unsure, if you knew or not that he has wriiten a few very good baseball books. He personally autographed one of them for me. I then ended up buying another to read.
