ebay - again

It's simply not my luck with ebay right now, this time it's my own fault. I'm tired and I've listed over a dozen cards and I do it manually one by one, and this one I put the entire wrong listing price on it - a Stamkos Ceritifed emerald auto 1/5. BIN $4.99. Of course someone takes it, and then demands that the sale goes through. It's my mistake, and technically its his card, but my god don't people have any compassion at all? I would never dream of myself actually trying to get a card like that, it's just rude and without any empathy at all

Thank god he agrees to cancel. Now how's the standard on this for future references, cause I've "tried" a few times when I've seen such mistakes, and the seller has begged me to cancel and I have without any further question. But do most buyers just greedingly trying to pursure this or else leave negative??

i've clicked on ridiculous BINs and msg'ed the seller to tell them they probably meant a higher price like $XXX instead of the BIN i clicked. if they didnt' agree, i'd gladly pay. i've gotten PLENTY of thank yous.

Exactly, now pretend if I did buy a ridicoulously low BIN and the seller asks me to cancel but I refuse to, that's just really mean and nasty imo, dishonest and immoral to take advantage of a fellow human being. But I guess more and more turns greedy. I have to be careful though, there are plenty of wolves out there. I'm spanking myself right now for doing such a mistake lol.

nice to hear that they did agree to cancel. Honestly - I'd rather have the negative than sell for a mistake price like that.

Ill be honest. If it was me on the other end of the BIN. I would have demanded the sale goes through.

Its your responsibility as the seller to make sure you put the correct information and prices on your listings. Not the buyers. It is in no way shape or way dishonest, immoral, or anything else you would like to try and say it is to make yourself feel better. Its not the buyers fault you were tired. Its not the buyers fault you were given the entire auction to review and you still completed the listing and had ebay post it up. I understand it would completely suck if it happened, but that is in no way shape or form a slight against the buyer for wanting the deal that he found. If anything its almost a bait and switch move on your part to be honest.

You got lucky this time with what seems to be a very nice buyer. IMO you should offer him the card at a nice discount to what you were actually trying to list it for on the BIN. Be careful. ;)

Yeah technically I understand, but morally I don't understand how anyone would demand that with a clear heart. It's like theft almost. Once I saw a Carey Price future watch patch auto rc for a bin of $60, I took it and asked the guy if he was serious, he had forgotten a zero of course. So you think I should have pushed on back then and demanded a sale? Sorry that's just so egoistic I don't understand how anyone can think like this. It's like "ha ha ha I'm gonna rip this guy off I'm so smart!". Sorry for overreacting now but I really hate the grabbing greedy ego trend that's in society today.

I would feel bad, I would pay you more for a card like that.

I would want it to go through because as a seller, it's your card, and your selling it..

not the buyer's fault, but I wouldn't just send 5, I would buy it from you, and send you like 10-15 in cash on the side.

Yeah but it's worth something like 100-200$!! Like ranford say, I rather take a negative then sell it for 20-40 times lower then real saleprice. But, I know it's technically correct for the buyer to demand the card, I'm talking about a moral choice and frankly it scares me so many are prepared to push through a sale just cause they're greedy and take advantage of a persons mistake.
