$5 to get Joe Morgan to sign? Sorry, I'm not in the business of making dreams come true.

You are obviously free to charge whatever you think is fair and whatever the others are willing to pay. I respect you on these boards, and I know a time or 2 you haven't called me out on controversial things, so I really think gouge was too strong a word for me to use.
I'm just saying that I would feel bad charging much for a free signing.

no probem, guess it really depends on the athlete and how difficult they are to get signed. Like if sandy koufax was doing a signing (
) people are going to pay more to get their item done by somone in the area because of how unoften they sign.
I hope this thread doesn't get too of topic because I was hoping to see what kind of prices you guys would pay...

I don't pay for autos, so I'm the wrong guy to ask.

Again, if you are going to a free signing, and you are offering to take something for someone, I wouldn't give you more than $5. You are not putting forth any effort besides luck of your geography and the signing. If you were going to go to a stadium where a player was rumored to be, and were going to stand in the parking lot trying to get him, and fight through people to get my item signed, then, I would pay you more. If the guy is doing a paid signing at a show, I would rather pay the mail order price than pay you a huge additional fee to go there. Best of luck to you on your pricing, I'm sorry if you think this is your ticket to make a ton of money from people on these boards.

Aren't you the one who offered to get me a Ryne Sandburg signed card, from his current minor league coaching coach, for over $20? I mean seriously, the guy signs for free at every stadium, and I got him when he was coaching the Iowa Cubs, why in the world would I pay you? And again, Gossage, signs for a fee every time through the mail, as well as some of the others. What are you offering that makes it a better deal? You know, I will continue to get my autographs the way I do, I'm darn good at it, and have quite the collection. And since I have been able to get star players like Noah and Derrick Rose, Brian Urlacher, Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, and many others for free, I think I am doing just fine.

You'd be surprised at what people offer to get that superstar autograph. Believe it or not, not everyone is smack down in the middle of a major US city and some others aren't near any sporting teams. So what if they want a certain auto that doesn't sign ttm?

Just my 2 cents.. I wouldnt be aposed to throwing $15-20 in an envelope for Joe Morgan with a ROMLB to be signed. He's kinda tough & a great HOFer to get. $25 with a Picture of the signing..
as for the rest, Besides Dye who i have no idea of his signing habits, the rest i can get TTM for there own fee so i probably wouldn't pay much more then there regular signing fee, Unless, it included a picture of him signing the item. then it would be worth it IMO.
