    Brendan Morrison re-signs with the Flames

    The Calgary Flames retained the services of veteran forward Brendan Morrison, signing him to a one-year contract worth $1.25 million.

    "His versatility, hockey sense and ability to fill so many roles throughout our line-up make him an important contributor, and we value his role as one of our on and off ice leaders," Flames general manager, Jay Feaster said in a statement.


    Good for Morrison, a real highlight to the Flames last season.
