Quality for me. If I have one of every card, then great, but it's only because my player doesn't have a ton in the first place. For my O'Reilly since I'm only doing rookie year for him, I'm getting everything. For my Howard, I'm focusing more on quality since there is just so much out there for him.

Interesting discussion, and difficult to answer. I guess I would fall into the 'quantity' side, but simply because I pursue every Kurri card I can find. I enjoy my entire collection, and love when I can get a nice patch or an attractive auto, but, collecting has never been as fun again as it was back in the day when I was searching out all of the various oddball stickers, European issues, team issues and such. Those are still among my favorites in my collection, regardless of their relative lack of "value."

I will simply echo the comments of others, the main thing is to enjoy your collection and hopefully you can strike a balance of both.
I collect: Kurri, '70s Kelloggs, Topps/OPC hockey /90 and earlier, selected '90s hockey insert sets, '70s football, and baseball with focus on Dynasty A's and completing sets.

    hi there

i would say quality for sure unless it has sentimental value. u can have billion cards but if they do not have any quality than they can 't be worth much right. even auto patches u can find for like $15 couple years ago they would have been $50 easy.

    thanks johnnaseri

Im right in the middle, I just want a copy of every Peter Regin card and a copy of every Robin Lehner card I can get. So some may say quanity, but I think quality fits in there as well, as i've got some really nice pieces to my PC.

both for me, i want any possible card i can get of Callahan and there are so many Jagrs out there that i just get whatever i can, so definitely quantity there. on the other hand, i'm starting to look into getting more Kovalchuks and i really only want his RC's and nice patches or autos, so quality in that case.
