How to Create a Store Template

Storefront templates are very useful and can save a lot of time when listing cards. These templates will act as presets, so you don't have to fill in the same details each time you list an item. Note that even if you create a template and use it to list an item, you will still be able to edit some details once you have listed it with your template (for example, you can edit the starting price specifically for an item). In this article, you will find out how to create your own templates. It is highly recommended that you create one, as it will speed up the process of listing cards. Please note that if you are mass-selling (from the inventory), a template is required.

For your template, you can set everything from auction type to shipping costs.

To start, after you go to your inventory from the forums, click on the "My Store" tab.

Click on the "Add template" link.

OR, when you list a card in your store [I plan to create a help page for this, and will have the bolded linked to that page], you will be prompted by this page:

Follow the link, or click Add Store Item With Template.

From here, you can start adding details to your template.

    These include:

Template name - the name you would like to call this template (i.e. $1.00 starting auctions)

    Sport (i.e. hockey)
    Product (i.e. Single)
    Year (i.e. 2009)
    Additional year (i.e. 2009-10)
    Manufacturer (i.e. Upper Deck)

    Auction Type & Pricing Infomation
    Duration (i.e. 7 days)
    Currency (i.e. USD)
    Payment (i.e. PayPal)
Auction / Buy It, Accept offer Yes / No - here you can choose the type of auction

    Card Attributes: Rookie/Autograph/Memorabilia/Serial/Print Run
    Item condition, Graded

**Item description - a general description you would like to have in all your auctions. You can be very generic here, as most of the card information will already be inserted (see note below). You can include information such as how you will ship (with a toploader, bubble mailer), how many days you expect payment, etc.

You will also be able to edit the look of your description by using BB code. You can change the font color or size, and also bold, italicize, or underline words.

*Note: When you list cards from the database, some information will automatically be pulled, and override any information you may have put in the template. The information that will be pulled is noted in blue in the above section.
**Note: Again, when listing cards from the database, the card name will automatically be inserted as the first line in your item description.

You will also set your shipping costs for the template.

It is required to set a cost for all regions, and if you do not ship to that region, you can check the "Not selling/shipping to ..." box.

You must also include what shipping service you will use and approximately how long it may take you to ship out the item(s).

    After you finish, click submit!
