I honestly am not trying to be a hater here. I am asking this sincerely (as opposed to sarcastically or rhetorically), but why are we all hyping up this product when it was a complete bust/bomb last year and had zero value on the second hand market?

I will not be buying any unless otherwise convinced. Money spent elsewhere will be better served, IMHO.

This another Panini product you'll find in your 3,000 count box stuck together in a moist brick.

That is true. This product had no secondary value on ebay or anywhere. You can get a box for like $50 now. Paying $75 is too much for this product.

So true. Bought countless Donruss last year got nothing worth secondary value, worst part is the base set isnt even NEAR completed.

Also, how nice would they look with a silver sharpie?!

Those Pinnacle Blacks would be a great autograph set, especially hard signed in silver. I completely agree!!!

Agree 100%. Most of Panini's releases had this issue last season and after watching how badly Certified cards sold on the secondary market, I cannot see this doing much better

My LCS only has two hockey products on his clearance table: Contenders and Pinnacle. He had the Pinnacle Boxes (about seven of them) for $50, last time I went they were at $40...I thought about it but couldn't bring myself to do it. Opened one box of Pinnacle last year (that I was given by Panini to make up for some value on a card I waited a year on) and it was missing a hit and the three other hits were some no name kings rc auto, a sam gagner jersey, and a ryan malone jersey. BLEH!

Pinnacle is now live on EBay and the checklist is now posted on the Panini Website.

Thumbs up to Panini on that one. Looks like a decent trading card set and most likely also a popular one.
