    eBay: What do you Buy?

A lot of people here buy and sell on eBay. What do you buy? Do you buy eTopps? Anything else? Always interested in other collector's collections and their stories.

Just started collecting etopps so I have been buying quite a few of those lately, I was purchasing quite a few baseball hobby boxes of 2003 Topps Chrome but people are starting to get outrageous on there S&H charges so I am looking for other sellers. I don't mind paying $5 or even $6 dollars a box if they are being shipped seperately but $8 or $9 dollars is nutz when it doesn't even include insurance...

I've been buying and selling on ebay for more than four years. I buy on ebay what I need which I think will save me money: inkjet cartridges, Sony PDA, camcorder, watch, camera film, birthday and Christmas gifts, etc. I also buy a few cards here and there that are graded, mostly recent baseball rookies like Jose Reyes.

In the golden year of '99 when you could sell anything and make money off it, I did a lot of that and sold off my collection of Rush memorabilia as well as plenty of other stuff. My attitude is if I can make something from nothing, I'll go for it. And I have.

Iggy, what's this thing with you and porn? Don't tell me you're the guy at the Pitt football game who wore a button that said, "Born for Porn" when the game was televised on ABC.

That is awesome! I'm sad I missed that great moment in Pitt Athletics. I only made it to one Pitt football game this year and that's because the opener was a saturday night game. Iggy and 12 Noon don't mix well on Saturday's.

I buy and sell garbage pail kids cards --- these cards sell like crazy.

I've got some 1st series cards (the most expensive ones), which have writing on them, sticker borders peeled off, creases, etc. and I can still get $0.40 per card.

Even when I describe the cards as being in POOR condition, they still sell out.

But try selling sports cards in anything other than near-mint condition, and you've got to discount them heavily to get someone to buy it.

have the entire collection, series 1-15th, about 1200-1300 or so cards, all placed in soft sleeves and then in top load card holders.

I am always looking to buy wax boxes of sports cards at cheap prices on Ebay.

Ebay is the best place to buy ink cartridges...try going to a retail store like Best Buy, and it'll run up upwards of $25-35 for ONE!!
Love opening wax packs and seeing what I get.

Buying packs and boxes is always fun, it's one of the most exciting aspects of this great hobby.
