96/97 Pinnacle: which is which?
Pinnacle released several variations of their hockey set in 1996 / 97. The three versions I know of are:
1) Gold foil
2) Silver foil
3) Heavier card stock.
The inventory lists one version as "premium stock". That one is easy - it is #3.
The inventory also identifies on version as "foil". Does that refer to the gold foil card or the silver foil card?
There are also Artist Proof and Rink Collection versions out there, but those are easy to identify.Hidden Content

I can't find anything other than "this set parallels the base set with special foil highlights."
So really nothing. Maybe take a trip through Ebay and see if you can find the difference.

The silver foils wewre the thicker card stock and instead of the normal color on the front of the cards they are silver and those would be the ones advertised as foils.

The foils had a more vibrant dufex shadow in the card itself and the foil. Almost like a Rink Collection.
When you place a foil next to a common, you can easily spot the difference.
