Really bad week for Perry. The Republican party is just so factionalized right now.

Considering Ron Paul repeatedly wins straw polls and (unfortunately) gets nothing for it, I'd take this with a giant grain of salt. Good for him. Means nothing.

Now that I thought about it I kind of hope that herman cain wins the republican nod. The reason why is that despite how screwed up in the head cain is there is a large element of the republican party that will never vote for him for obvious reasons. That will no dobubt help President Obama out in winning the white house in 2012.

I really like what Cain came out and said about the current political stalemate over the FEMA funding. He's right on. Don't mess with people's tragedies. We NEED to have the funds to help our own people when they need it. If a tornado would rip through some of these congressmen/congresswomen's houses, they'd be first in line for FEMA aid.

Cain brings common sense to the discussion. Something most of the other candidates and certainly our president do not offer.

I don't agree with some of his positions, but that's the way I feel about every candidate. He has some ideas for radical change, but a lot of them make decent economic sense to me.

Exactly. You're never going to like everything about a candidate. You just have to go with the one who you think will be best for the country big picture.
