New Auto Content Arrives at Panini HQ
http://paniniamerica.wordpress.com/2...2-crown-royale
As hockey collectors across North America continue completing their self-appointed tasks within 2011-12 Score Hockey and 2011-12 Certified Hockey, the NHL folks inside Panini America headquarters are working diligently on readying 2011-12 Limited and 2011-12 Crown Royale for market, both of which will follow next week’s release of the already-completed 2011-12 Pinnacle.
I say all of that to say this: The quality and quantity of Panini America’s on-card autograph content for upcoming products is quite impressive. And if you don’t believe me, just check out the following gallery highlighting this week’s arrivals.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

It's too bad that the Retired Numbers from Limited aren't more tailored to the individual teams and the way they do their banner presentations for retired/honoured numbers. The red 20 on the Robitaille just doesn't look right with all the Kings stuff around it.
Most promising of all is the confirmation of Silhouettes for the veterans in Crown Royale. I really really REALLY hope there's a Price in there. Needless to say, ITG has raised the bar very high for my expectations of premium/PRIME memorabilia pieces. :)

Had to look twice at the Bucyk and then noticed they are all red. Yup too bad they all look like they retired in Detroit.Last edited by jonpop; 12-16-2011 at 12:30 PM. Reason: spelling

WOW, a non rookie silhouette set?
I like the idea that I might be able to get a Price or Subban Silhouette, BUT I think for Panini it is an awful idea.
The one new set that collectors really dug was the rookie silhouettes. One of the things that made them great was how limited the print runs were, heck, I know alot of guys who picked up silhouettes of players they didn't care about just because of how cool they looked. By watering down the market with too many silhouettes, you make them easier to get ahold of and the values will go down.

The Select Signatures look a lot like the Sign of the Times from 2007-08. Not saying it's a ripoff, actually meaning it as a compliment because that was easily my favorite version of SOTT ever.

Yep, still waiting for my 10-11 silhouette to come in the mail
Panini should stall all products until they can finish their previous ones

I'm not suggesting something that extreme. Just go after the remaining autos with as much dedication as the new ones.

Hey, here's a novel idea:
How about completing and shipping LAST years redemption sets? I have 3 outstanding, and 1 of those- THIS years stuff is out already. If all of US can figure out how to TRADE cards through the mail, and send stuff to OUR players to sign, why can't YOU guys?
