Best writing utensil for a jersey???

I have a jersey I am trying to get signed, what is the best writing utensil to use on it sharpie? paint pen? Help please I leave in about 5 hours to get it signed. Also how should I prep the jersey? should I stretch it out on cardboard or just hand it to the person as is?

I prefer paint pen. I just hand the jersey to the player, only stretch it out if you are going to display it stretched. Depends if they will be sitting at a table or standing. You could fold it and put a piece of cardboard or clipboard in the jersey. Who are you getting?

i'd go black sharpie on anything white, blue if it dosen't clash too much. silver paint on anything dark. i usually prefer the signature on one of the numbers which are a little stiffer and easier to write on.
