Naxcom Question
I was wondering if someone has like a buy offer for $5.95 and I decide that I want to sell mine for that much to him. Would I have to pay the shipping or would he.
I know it's a little confusing, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe shipping is automatically added to your buy offer. There's a NAXCOM guy who posts here, he could confirm that.

So does that mean that he would pay me like $3 more than it says or does that mean that I would have to pay for the shipping.

Whatever NAXCOM uses (assuming it's $3) would be tacked on to your price, making it an $8.95 transaction.

Ok. I hope thats how it works. I will wait for the Naxcom guy to confirm or someone else who uses Naxcom a lot. Thanks for your help.

I'm not the NAXCOM guy he's talking about, but I have bought and sold a few cards there. NAXCOM determines the shipping fee based on the sale price and weight/distance. For a card under $10 where the buyer is not required to pay for insurance, it's probably around $2.50 for S&H. The seller is still responsible for making sure the card gets to the buyer safe and sound, though, so don't just stick it in a penny sleeve in a white envelope with 37 cents postage. Always use delivery confirmation, so the buyer can't claim he never got it if he did.
For a $5.95 sale you will keep $4.29. On top of that you get the S&H. If it's $2.50 and you spend $1.75 on postage and materials (NAXCOM does figure your time is worth a bit), that's a total of $5.04 in your pocket, or about 85%. The percentage rises to about 90% or better on more expensive sales, depending how efficient you are with your S&H.
You get $4.29 before the S&H because NAXCOM takes $1.15 for its fee and another 51 cents for "payment processing." That means you don't worry about how the buyer will pay for it; NAXCOM puts the money in your account. It sits there for 12 days to make sure you actually sent the card and it arrived safely. If you sell enough on NAXCOM to make it worthwhile, you can pay a monthly fee to be called "VIP" and have the waiting period down to as little as 3 days before you get your money.
NAXCOM's cut might seem a little hefty, especially on very cheap cards, but the good thing is that they take all the risks in any transaction. If a buyer or seller screws the other, NAXCOM settles up with the injured party and tries to recover from the one who allegedly did the screwing -- if it agrees that a screwing took place.
