Wilson has, and will continue to ruin everything within his reach.

This is a very good point. Burke has likes to go after players he's drafted or knows very well. That is why he's picked so many players from the ducks (like Lupul and JS Giguire). I wouldn't look away from the Burke - Ducks connection. It seem like Burke is that little devil on your should telling you to trade your best for rubbish (a la Patrik Stefan / Sedin draft and Pronger Trade).

The Leaf's haters on here make me laugh. What's it going to take to shut you guys up? The Stanley Cup shoved up your butts? In all seriousness, Wilson is doing a great job so far this year and Burke is a loyal person and will extend his contract at the end of the year and why not? It's not entirely his fault the team was so bad for his years here and Wilson is a good friend of his and there's nothing wrong with being loyal to a friend.
As far as getting Ryan is concerned, the Leaf's and Ducks have a history and that means a lot in the NHL or any league, so I believe the Leaf's are the front runners in this race. As far as the Rangers and Flyers are concerned, they don't need him at all and they already are stacked up front and made a bunch of changes, so I don't see that happening.

Watch your language. Nobody is a Leaf Hater on here. Are you 12 year's old? Then stop with the "hater'" monikers.
Ron Wilson has never been the least bit effective as an NHL Coach period !!
Got it?

66/67 Last Stanley Cup, we have the right to be MAD, I remember that Cup, do you, we also were Seasons Ticket at the ML Gardens, we let the tickets go, becasue we got MAD at the LEAFS for losing to EXPANSION teams.
BOBBY RYAN is a MOOSE and it's gonna take alot of front line players to get him.Last edited by capt55; 12-01-2011 at 07:38 PM.

I don't know who you cheer for but I can guarantee Wilson is doing a better coaching job than your coach is right now
Explain WHY, you say Wilson has never been the least bit of effective coach??
He's making tge leafs contenders, how is he a bad coach?

I am simply trying to be objective here and focus on the current season. If people can't see that, then that's on them and no one else. Any coach/team has it's ups and downs and it is common for the Leaf detractors to bash the team to no end when they are down and ignore when the team is doing well. It's happened since the beginning of time and will continue to happen. I am simply enjoying the success the team is having now and if anyone can't see that the team is playing well now, then all you need to do is look in the paper.

Very true.....
Leaf Fans have every right to demand on-ice performance. They have shelled out billions of Dollars making MLG original parent companies one of the richest in the history of Sport.
Torontonians have been very patient, built a beautiful new building, done everything asked of them. Are they now silly children for asking for the odd playoff game?
I waited 41 years for the Detroit Red Wing to win a Stanley Cup while I was alive, how long have you waited chakhae ?????
