College Student Hangs Confederate Flag in His Room
Just wanted to see comments on this.

i have never had a desire to wave, hang, display, etc. a rebel flag. However, I have long thought that for a lot of people it is more about southern pride than racism. I do however, understand that not all see it that way and understand why they see it the way they do.
Our high school rival was Robert E. Lee high school. The rebel flag did not appear anywhere in the school. But every year on game day, a truck full of mostly black football players would ride through our parking lot waving a rebel flag. Always found humor in that.

It's only a big deal or problem if people make it a problem. Now if people tried to hang KKK hoods that would be different...that flag was not suppose to stand for racism; ignorant people gave it that stereotype...

Wow I was shocked that it was a black guy putting the flag up. When I was a young child I grew up watching dukes of hazzard. Whenever I saw the confederate flag I would call it the dukes of hazzard flag. However when I got older I realized what it was all about. I don't think that the rebel flag is equal to the swatisca, however I wouldn't want it thrown up in my face either. Believe it or not I collected hot wheels cars on and off throughout my life and the ironic part is that one of the few hotwheels cars that I still have is the general lee with the confederate flag. Go figure??

Lol, I know I shouldn't ask because I'll get some stupid answer but I can't resist. How exactly is Herman Cain racist? You'd have a better argument saying Obama was, but Cain?
