So any opinion onto why SPA FW are closely priced to Ultimate's RCs even though Utlimate are 1/3 rarer? (aside from Ultimate's #/99)
Does the hobby not appreciate the Ultimate's rarety? or is SPA's design much more attractive?

i think its just because the future watch auto is the staple
main pc collectors will chase the ultimate rc, but the average guy just wants the fwa, for a staple rookie card.
kind of like yg's, not even numbered, but lots o demand.

^^ What he said! And I think also that the FWA is the first HARD SIGNED rookie card. The print run is higher and the price point is not too bad as you can always buy just a few packs and still be able to pull one! For Ultimate, yes they are 1/3 of the print run but I personally think the box breakers are going for the Rookie Auto Shield.

Thanks for the responses guys! I really appreciated...it goes to show why SPA FW sells on ebay for closer to bv value than Ultimate.

Also it's a harder/expensive set to put together with 8-10 RC's being /99 lowest usually selling for 100$ higher up like 350-500$ depending on year/player and because of this there can only be 99 sets put together. Because of that not as many attempt it so there's less of a demand as opposed to SPA which is easier to do because of a possible 999 sets. Also i've noticed (could be just me though) Ultimate RC's seem to attract player collectors more while SPA attracts both player and set collectors more than ultimate.
