Marchand had his coming out party in the playoffs last year. A good player for sure..... more of the pest / agitator type..... but can also bang in a few goals.

Doubt he'll ever be an all-star, and probably never gets much hobby love outside of his home province (Nova Scotia) or whatever team he's playing for.

As long as that team is the Bruins though, that's lots of fans.

his fwa has sold very high though

Marchand is not a particularly popular person in these parts. He does have some admirers, but every time he touched the puck in the pre-season game here it was a very audible chorus of boos from the crowd, many times surpassing those normally reserved for Zdeno Chara.

Over 100,000 people turned out for Sidney Crosby's day with the Cup. Marchand didn't put on a public event at all, but if he had, I suspect it would not have had even 10% of that level of attendance.

Numerous stories I've heard from people about him being a little too big for his britches, even when he was in junior.

Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

not make excuses but last night's game was the 3rd in 4 days. They traveled from Pittsburgh overnight to WPG and played that night. Lastly, Seguin was scratched becuase he missed a morning meeting. (i.e. overslept).

good win for WPG. they did play well. Fun game to watch. Jack Edwards the Bruins play-by-play had a lot of great things to say about the city and the new team.

After the first goal and while the fans were cheering loudly: "This ain't Atlanta any more folks!"
