11/12 Pinnacle Review/Thoughts - It's Very Good
After opening a little more than half a case, here are my impressions:
-Quality and quantity v. cost is very nice - pretty much every box has provided solid value-more on that below.
-excellent photography and cardstock - nice variety of action shots and casual/media pics, and besides a few minor-bent corners (always expected, unfortunanately), no issues with quality control.
-Case chase cards: Very interesting and worthwhile -in my boxes I got 2 sp Ice Breakers rookie autos, a starting 6 threads card with multiple colors (/199; non-prime), an auto in every box except the one with the starting 6 - 2 tough times au, 1 Private Signings, 1 Fans of the Game au. Plus 2 canvas creations; 5 Team Pinnacle, and 2 Team Captains. Overall solid variety and breakdown.
-Rookies/GU/Icebreakers: I also rec'd nearly all the upper echelon Ice Breakers rookies and almost a complete set aof the IB RCs, nice base Ice Breakers (these cards are very cool), good GU (1 ridiculous prime /50 with the Gold/Red patch literally bursting, in a good way, out of the card) and nearly all the other GUs with color, including several top-level players. So basically the coalition is very good and especially strong for the price-point.
-To me, this is Panini's counterpoint to UD series 1 - sure there's no base RCs of RNH, Landy, Scheifele, etc (not sure why that's the case) but they do have seriously nice auto sp RCs, and the regular IB RCs are still pretty good with Henrique, Read, Larsson, etc, so that kind of balances out to me as UD doesn't have these RCs with auto's.
I didn't post my results because I'm not trading or selling right now. Thanks for reading.
Pinnacle is Strongly Recommended to Collect this year. At this point I much prefer these kind of boxes to the 1 pack/7 card mid/high level ones (see Limited).Last edited by LJ5000; 12-25-2011 at 12:38 PM.

In the US it's about $75 - $80 depending on the store.
