Help with a Toews Card Value

I need opinion on what a 5 colour Cup ARP of Toews should sell for. I am working on a deal for one and I think the owner is out to lunch on their expectations of value. Any assistance is much appreciated.

What is the serial number? 10/99? It depends which card of the 5 color Toews you are asking about.

If it is 5 color, I am assuming it is a logo and can sell for upwards of $1500 easy.

Im just looking for a general opinion. Not sure the card number yet, havent seen it. Just in the early stages of negotiating. If you want give me an estimate for the ones you know are 5 color. Can you do that?

I think $2,000 could be fetched for a five-color. A pic would help, too.

yeah I would have to agree above, somehwere in the 1500 - 2000$ range. Another thread, the "most you paid for a card" guy paid 5000$ for a Stamkos 4clr, so 1500-2000 seems pretty reasonable.

It's believed, that there are only 3-5 copies of a five-color Toews Cup RC.

I know where one is and it's also very likely that another is in the NY guy's #1 set that he purchased. That leaves possibly (?) 1-3 "available".

Since a four-color recently sold for $2700 on ebay, if you truly want the five-color card, you might have to get in the mind-set, that you're starting number would be $3500 and up.

A friend of mine knows where one currently is but the current owner (lets just say Europeans), wants shall we say - "allot". The same friend, purchased a very nice four-color before Christmas, for around $2500.

This is a much more reasonable expectation than the responses above. Toews' value has almost doubled for his high-end Cup RCs in the past year. Again, I would need to see the card/patch to give a fair assessment. I can say this though, if it's the 10/99 then the price range would be $1800-$2000. Please PM if you want to discuss the deal in more detail.

Definitely more reasonable . I mean, if there are completed auctions on ebay showing a four-color Toews selling for $2700, it is much more logical to trust your expertise that somebody can buy a "five-color" for $1800-$2000.

Everybody knows that five-color RC's sell for much less then 4-color RC's. My bad.
