    Getting printing/press plates signed?

Is this something worth doing. I might be able to get a press plate(I assume these are what they print the card off of, never pulled one so I haven't the slightest idea)
Are these worth getting autographed? If so what's the best thing to use to have them sign it? Or is it not a great idea?

I've seen quite a few signed just in regular Sharpie. I've always thought it'd be cool, but I haven't done it yet.

Well ones I might consider are from a USHL team that has card sets made. I'm surprised to see them out. They are basically 1/1s the guy said.
Is this true there would be 4 for the front, 4 for the back. All covering the major colors I guess? Cyan, yellow, black and magenta.
