Went to the Houston Astros CAREavan yesterday and picked up some of my favorite young Astros. Will be going tomorrow to meet a few more as well.

Today was the final day of the Astros CAREavan so I decided I'd drive out to Katy and get some autographs. The line wasn't long at all so we got to go around twice. It was my first time meeting Brett Wallace, Jason Castro and newly aquired Jed Lowrie. I offered to take Lowrie shopping for cowboy boots sometime this season which he thought was funny.

I got Jose Cruz to sign my Astros cap as well but originally he was going to sign a card from the Upper Deck Decades set that came out in 2000-2001. Mr. Cruz liked the card a lot because it showed him with a big afro type hair style so I offered to let him keep the card. He said no at first but I insisted and he seemed happy to have the card. Always cool to see a big league player, especially a classic one like Cruz, getting excited over his own baseball card.


Overall I had a blast the two days I went to the CAREavan and I plan on going to more stops next year. Looking forward to ST now, Go 'Stros!

Today I got to meet some PBR Bullfighters and a PBR Bullrider. I was basically the only one who made an effort to stop by the signing (I was early so who knows). The guys were real down to earth and talked to me like we were buddies.

This past Saturday I had the chance to meet one of my favorite country music artists, Dierks Bentley. My gf bought me a fan club membership for our anniversary and with that membership I won a meet and greet with Dierks at his San Antonio show. So Saturday morning we drove 3.5 hours from Houston to San Antonio. Overall it was a great experience and I had a blast meeting Dierks.
